    Summary
Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock Yarn is a sensory experience like no other, both for the fingers while knitting and the tootsies while wearing. This yarn is also hand-painted verses hand-dyed creating a Monet masterpiece effect.

The blending of the superfine alpaca, fine merino wool, silk & nylon creates a superbly soft, resilient and durable sock yarn. This Sock yarn is available in 15 colors making it difficult to choose but totally worth it!

    My Impressions
Misti Alpaca has done a superb job of mastering the sensory overload; from the joy of the knit to feel on the foot. Its a must have! It knit up quickly and effortlessly. There is no pattern repeat due to the handpainting of this yarn, which requires no matching for those who are inclined.....the coloration's were random and pooled slightly and did not spiral. This kept the knitting interesting.

    The Knitting Experience
I chose to use US # 1 dpn's to make a slightly thicker sock verses the recommended Us #2's. The yarn was pleasant to knit with....knitted up quick and effortlessly. No snagging, no twisting, and no knots.

The yarn can be pulled from either the center of the skein of the outside of the skein. Coloration's were random and nor real repeat.

    Washability
Machine washable. Recommend Gentle cycle with warm water (I washed mine in Cold water) and lay flat to dry. I have found the socks to soften with washing. They wash beautifully and the size remained the same. Any of my own knitting flaws seemed to disappear. I love them!

    Wearability
The alpaca/merino wool/silk/nylon blend means there is no need to reinforce either the heels or toes. However, I did choose to reinforce my heels and toes because I wanted a long lasting product. After many wearings, they have not shown any signs of wear.

Seem durable with no pilling. Very very soft on the feet ... no scratchiness and non-irritatingto the bottom of the feet.

Holds elasticity over time and is comfortable to wear with shoes.
